Editing the video is usually the fast part. Finding music that fits — and that swells at the right second — takes longer. The hard work was never generating sound; it’s timing: rise on the hook, pull back when someone speaks, turn when the subject turns. That’s the part Scora automates.
What Scora is
Scora is a web service that builds the background soundtrack for any video — automatically, and synced to the content. Instead of handing you a standalone track and leaving the fitting to you, it starts from the video itself: it transcribes the footage, reads the mood and the key moments, and places the right music on each segment.
Why this isn’t another AI music generator
AI music generators give you a track. You still open the editor, cut it, align it, duck it under dialogue, and hope the chorus lands somewhere useful. Scora reverses the order: it starts from the video, finds where the music should change, and puts it there. What comes back is the video with a synced score — not an audio file waiting to be fitted.
How it works
- Upload the video. An
.srtcaption file is optional — without one, Scora transcribes it. - Automatic analysis. It maps mood, hooks, emotional peaks and transitions, segment by segment.
- Music. It matches tracks from a curated royalty-free library (by BPM, key, mood and energy) or composes an original AI score, segment by segment.
- Result. The video comes back with the soundtrack mixed in, plus a separate
.mp3audio track and a visual report of the analysis.
Generation modes
| Mode | What it does |
|---|---|
| Maestro | Conducts the video end to end: one continuous original score that follows every shift in mood. The service’s best output. |
| Suite | An original composition per segment, chained together. |
| Express | A straight-to-the-point score generated in minutes — for when the deadline decides. |
| Library (free) | Matches tracks from the curated royalty-free catalogue to each segment, by BPM, key, mood and energy. |
| My library | Uses music you uploaded yourself, with your own rights. |
Maestro, Suite and Express consume credits. The curated library mode is free.
What stands out in use
- Emotional timeline. The player shows the video’s mood as coloured bands — hook, tension, emotional peak — synced with the music. You can see why the score changes where it does.
- One-line musical theme. Describe the mood you want (“contemplative lo-fi with piano”) and the whole score follows. Attach captions and Scora suggests themes for you.
- Clear rights. Library tracks are CC0/public domain with the licence shown per track. If YouTube raises a bogus Content ID claim, the app hands you ready-made dispute text to copy.
- Public gallery. Made with Scora collects real videos published by creators — free exposure for the people who use it.
- Caption bonus. On the free plan, a video uploaded with your own captions doesn’t count against the monthly limit.
- One-click redo. Generate a different score for the same video without re-uploading.
- Live step-by-step progress, passkey sign-in, and an interface in English and Portuguese.

FAQ
Can I monetise the videos? Yes. The library is curated royalty-free (CC0/public domain, licence shown per track) and AI-generated scores are original. If a bogus claim appears, the app supplies the dispute text.
Do I need to know music? No. You optionally describe the mood — the rest is automatic.
Does it work in any language? The analysis starts from multilingual automatic transcription, so it isn’t limited to English.
How long does it take? Minutes, with live step-by-step progress.
